Africa has rivers that flow south, west, east and north. With this distinction its the only continent in the world. There are rivers flowing through dense forests while others wind their way through deserts. Some of Africa's rivers create spectacular waterfalls, because they rush down from the highlands. If you talk of rivers which is in Africa than talk must begin with the river Nile. Nile is one of the most famous river in the world and the longest river. The Nile has two sources, Tanzania and Uganda, Lake Lake Victoria on the border of Kenya and Tana in Ethiopia. Nile is also the only river all around the world that flows north. If you followed the Nile through most of east Africa than any traveler including you would have a really unique adventure, empties in the Mediterranean Sea and past the pyramids in Egypt.

Zambezi is the another of Africa's most popular river. Empties into the Indian Ocean and wends its way through Mozambique and river rages south out of the southeastern African nation of Zambia. One of the world's most spectacular waterfalls-Victoria Falls, lies on this river. One of the world's largest hydroelectric projects-The great Kariba Dam,is also on this incredible east African river.

If you are in South Africa there is Limpopo River who is another place what you need to see. River runs through Mozambique, along South Africa's northeastern border with Zimbabwe and carries its waters into the Indian Ocean. Over one thousand miles slaking over the many exotic animals animals in three southeast African nations on its way to the ocean and thirst of thousands of people.
